I have been hearing a lot lately about how easy it is to make money online. The Money Making Tips promises that come into my mailbox on an almost daily basis have me wondering by now why everyone involved in it isn't a millionaire yet. They obviously can't be because surely there is only so much money to go around and the majority of people are still working at a job. Big promises with little follow up seems to be a regular story. Still, there are, I believe, quite a few people who do actually make anywhere from a very good to an exceptional income from online trading and networking. So having pondered for a while what is and isn't true I decided to do some research and check it out for myself.

The first thing that I looked at was all the Money Making Tips that are thrown around the internet. A lot of newbies and even quite experienced online marketers spend enormous amounts of time and more worrisome still, lots of money trying to find that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow that will bring them that promised return on their investments. At the other end of the scale is a very large number of investors who have been led to believe that they do not need to spend any time at all working on making their investments grow. They may individually not spend any time nor any great amount of money on any particular affiliate program or other type of online investment that they have been talked into. This group of online investors will not stay with any investment for very long but keep moving from one to the other to hopefully find that pot of gold somewhere. After a year or so, this group will also have spent a very considerable amount of money without having achieved even the most minimal of their initial goals.

So, why is this happening and what is the underlying cause of the problem?

The main problem that seems to be an ongoing issue is the lack of support for new entrants into the market and ongoing training for the more experienced marketers. Networking has long been accepted as an essential part of traditional business activities. Starting a new traditional business is hard work and without some form of network support, most new traditional businesses are known to fail within the first year with as much as 85% not making it through to the 5th year. So why would anyone starting an online investment business be expect to fare much better than a traditional business starter? Most likely because the lure of the latest "Money making Tips" or the greatest "Money Making Secrets" has been put in such a way that it has been too hard to refuse. Of course we all know that "If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is" but that is not much help.

So what is the solution?

SOCIAL NETWORKING AND ONGOING TRAINING!!

My research to date seems to clearly indicate that the people who are the most successful in the online marketing field are the ones who are best at social networking and are excellent team workers. The one thing that they all appear to have in common is their heavy involvement in internet business training programs. As part of my research I have found some excellent venues that range from free to rather expensive but fortunately, some of the best that I have found are either free dedicated training programs or are membership only vehicles that combine training and investment strategies. One very good example of each of these scenarios that I have come across during my research are Ed Dale's "30 Day Challenge" and "3 Crowns Venture Partners". Check either of them out and judge for yourself.

CONCLUSION:

Yes it is possible that, with the right Money Making Tips combined with reason applied to expectations, excellent income streams can be expected from online investments. Without personal effort, but the right choice of vehicles, income will grow over time. Any expectation of rapid income growth however can not be realised without personal dedication, ongoing training, social networking and team work.

Why Should I Buy a Squidoo Lens?
Flipping Squidoo Lenses, is one of the internet's money making opportunities of 2008. Build a one page marketing site and flip it. Google loves Squidoo, and a lens can be indexed very quickly by Google. Actually, recently Yahoo has been very quick to index Squidoo as well. I am getting more traffic from Yahoo then Google with some of my Lenses.

Why Squidoo? Some people are doing very well with Squidoo. One man made as much as $1,000 (with affiliate links) in one month off one of these marketing tools. We personally get a good amount of traffic to our Estore, from Squidoo.

What is Squidoo? Squidoo is a Social Networking site. You can make one page websites called lenses, which, if you work at it, will drive traffic to your blog, website or affiliate links.

Squidoo Lens are an excellent resource for marketing your product or affiliate products. We use it to market our 3 online stores and our two blogs, and our traffic has increased substantially since we have been using Squidoo. Squidoo works, and it can work for you.

The one page websites, called lenses, are fairly easy to build. You will need 5 modules if you want to publish your site. Is this really enough? Can you put enough information on a website of this size? I don't think so. The saying is good content will bring you the traffic you need, and 5 basic modules is not enough.

You will also have to look for important keywords for your lens. This is going to put you at the top of your searches at Squidoo. This is going to take a good amount of time.

A good Squidoo Lens takes a good amount of effort, contrary to popular belief, that it just takes a few moments to throw one together. There is the keyword research. There is the basic research required for the 3 or 4 articles that should go on each lens. As a general rule, I find that it takes me over a day or more to write a decent lens. How much is a day's worth of time for you? And then there is the constant editing and updating. I try to edit a lens at least two times a week.

There is also the social book marketing that is need for each of these lenses. I try and list these lenses with no less than 10 sites! There is a lot more work involved in setting up and maintaining a Squidoo Lens than most people think.

Then there is the task of article writing to get traffic to your site. It takes me close to 4 hours to write the article, and then another three hours to submit these articles to Article sites. Wow, what a lot of work for a lens.

Do you have the time to set up a lens, and then get it going? If not, then you will want to buy one, or hire someone to put the Lens up for you.

There are some people like myself who like putting up websites/lenses and nursing them for a while and then sell them. The joy is in the creation, not in the keeping. I personally get a thrill every time I sell a lens.

There are countless e-books, programs and systems for making money online. More are being released every day. There are money making programs that involve affiliate marketing, data entry, incentivized freebie websites, foreign exchange, real estate, stock market, e-bay and lots more. Too many to list here. Many of these money making systems are simply e-books and others are complete money making programs. All are geared at teaching you how to make money online. It's been reported that 50% of new businesses in America are online businesses. There is a lot of money to be made online. But, and here's the kicker, it will probably cost you more money than you can spare trying to learn how to make money online. Most of these programs and systems that teach how to make money online flat don't work as advertised. Especially if you chose the wrong products. Even if you are diligent and do your home work the fact is that 98% of people that try to learn how fail. Between the scams and scammers as well as the Internet gurus. There are a host of people out there that know you will fail and just don't care. As long as they get some of your money they'll promise you anything to get you to buy their product.

As I said, even if you do your home work. There is still a chance you'll get involved with a program that doesn't work. That said, it is still very important that you do your home work. Research anything before you buy. Find out from others what has worked and what has not worked for them. That is not a guarantee that a program of learning to make money online will work for you. But it will help you avoid that scams. Which are products strictly aimed at getting your money and don't teach you anything. There are real programs that teach you how to make money online. A good way to distinguish the real programs from the scams is by looking for what others are saying about the product. Another good way to tell a real program is if there is contact information available before you buy. Any worthwhile program of teaching how to make money online will have a way to contact someone that can answer question about the program before you buy it. A name, phone number and address of a real person is a good sign that it is a legitimate offer and something that can work.

I've learned all this from experience. Over the last couple of years. I've tried a lot of ways to learn how to make money online. I was in that 98% failure bracket but I didn't give up and you shouldn't either. There are programs that will work for some people and not for others. Nothing will work for everyone. More will not work than will work. If you really want to learn how to make money or even if you already know how but can't seem to find the right program. You can learn a little something from my mistakes and failures. Find an actual business that will make money online. One with training, support and contact information. One that you can not find any negative reviews on and is affordable to join. A legitimate online business will have no commissions to split, no passing up sales and no down line to build. To make money you have got to sell something. So you need an online business with multiple ways to make money online and does not have up sales or recurring costs once you join.

I've written many articles on what to do and not to do when trying to find a program that will actually work. Briefly here's what I've learned. Do not buy simple e-books. Almost all of these contain information that you can get for free with a little searching. You can make a little money with incentivized freebie websites, like Project Payday, but it really takes a lot of time. Data entry programs take a year to find and evaluate. By the way if it's a Data Entry e-book that says companies will pay you to write ads and make money online by getting a commission. Don't buy it, it absolutely will not work the way it's advertised. It takes a long time to learn to make money online with e-bay, on the stock market or with real estate. I know I've tried them all and nothing worked until I found the Independent Profit Center.

I found the Independent Profit Center by searching for another way to learn how to make money online. I knew that there were a lot of people making money online and most that are just starting out will fail. They do not fail for lack of effort but for lack of training and support from online business that are not interested in their success. Online businesses like EDC, Perfect Wealth, Coastal that cost $400 to $1000 to join and you have to pass up your first sale before you make any money. Many of the people that have joined these are joining the Independent profit Center. These are experienced Internet marketers. I've been kicking around some radical ideas in my brain about how to make money. The way I have it figured you can use these ideas for virtually any wealth enhancing idea and they can be applied to virtually every circumstance.

1. If you're making a product make it better than it has to be. Quality means a lot in any economy, but always when money is tight and quality is needed.

2. If you provide a service provide better service than your customer has come to expect from other suppliers.

This idea simply works because of its ability to shock and awe your customers. They may not know how to respond.

3. Always take the high road - there's less traffic. While others work at cutting corners you should go out of your way to make sure your customer is satisfied with what you were able to provide.

4. Make a promise - and keep it. Customers are used to broken promises make sure you defy their expectations. It will likely start a conversation (generally between your customers and people they know).

5. When customers talk - really listen. They are used to being blown off by almost everyone. Surprise them by effectively communicating with them in a way that shows you were listening and that you care.

6. Give customers something extra. Provide a thank you gift for your customer that shows you appreciate their business and welcome their return visit. This doesn't have to be expensive, but it should be something memorable and useful.

7. Respond to customer requests. If a customer comes up with a great idea give them credit for it and use the idea (with their permission). They never see that one coming.

8. Give your customer a better sales experience than they expect. If it is online make sure you provide ample content to help them learn how to use your product. If the sale is face to face provide brochures that can help them appreciate their purchase even more.

9. Never settle for a quick buck. Make sure you make a quality presentation and then trust your potential customer enough to make an informed decision regarding a purchase.

10. Develop your product or service in a way that will have customers talking about you in the future. Make your business an heirloom quality enterprise. Provide such profound quality and service that you will be remembered long after the sale.

The reason these ideas will work is that they are totally unexpected. Quality is something people think of in reference to a time before planned obsolescence. Each family has an heirloom from their past, but none expect that quality today. This is why making things better than they have to be can be is such a powerful component for success in the 21st century.

Traffic which I must point out that every myspace user has access to, however they are unaware of how to use it. I will briefly discuss a few ways that a Myspace user could monetize their traffic.

First, there is community building. By simply doing what you currently do on Myspace, which is acquiring a gigantic list of friends you don't even know. Which is quite a conundrum in itself as to why people do this with no hopes of cashing in. Well fortunately there is actual logic in their seemingly aimless actions. When you have gathered a large collection of friends, you can monetize this in many ways, two of which are as follows. You could sell your account to someone else, or if you have a website, you can get your friends to visit it in order to make sales or simply raise your websites popularity.

Secondly, you can establish your Myspace page as a force to be loved. By developing the content on your page, and by offering a valid resource to the Myspace community, such as advice, reviews, tips, etc, you could funnel Myspace traffic directly to your Myspace page, This traffic can be directed elsewhere for profit. This diversion can occur by making buying or surfing suggestions to your Myspace audience.

Thirdly, you can offer advertising space on your Myspace page. This would be an excellent method to combine with the second method given. Advertisers would pay healthily for a chance to have an ad on your high traffic Myspace page.

Fourthly, you can give away free resources on your Myspace page such as templates, scripts and legal music. This will gain you many friends and develop the popularity of your service and page. You can also offer these same resources at higher qualities for a fee, outside of MySpace.
